The SolarSupra is the right portable power system for operating your laptop, satellite phones, VHF radios, portable DVDs, and AA battery chargers miles from any outlet. It is the lightest, most compact portable solar power pack available for equipment in its power class. It's the big brother of the popular SolarMio charger.
The SolarSupra uses high-efficiency triple-juction solar panels that excel at producing power in a wide range of light levels. It also uses a high-capacity lithium battery pack to store the power & provide the stable output your equipment requires. A wide variety of adaptor connectors are included for laptops, cell phones, and other electronics. The SolarSupra is ideal for situations where direct DC power can be used to run devices. Avoiding the use of an inverter save you 15-20% of the power you generate, so if your devices require less than 65 Watts, and requires a voltage between 5 & 19V, then the SolarSupra should be your first choice for portable power.
How is it used?...
The SolarSupra is very easy to use. Simply select the voltage for your device, attach an adaptor tip to fit, and plug it in. When the sun is shining, power comes from the panels. When indoors, or at night, the SolarSupra's battery pack does the work.
Not sure if the SolarSupra has an adaptor for your device? Many times the included 12V CLA car socket meets the challenge by allowing you to use your device's car adaptor with the Supra. There is also the standard USB port outlet provided for many of the devices like iPods, Blackberries, PDAs, & smart phones.
How durable is the SolarSupra?...
The Supra uses extremely durable thin film solar panels that do not use fragile connections. You can walk all over the panels without harming them. The battery pack is protected within the case, and the whole unit can take bumps & drops with ease.
And if the sun don't shine...
Use the AC charger cable to charge the SolarSupra when there is no sun, or to simply take advantage of the extra power source. Like most solar chargers, you can use your devices even when the SolarSupra is charging itself - no need to unplug your device.
