How Do I Use The Guide 10 Plus?
Simple. Insert AA or AAA batteries. Plug the Guide 10+ into any USB port or USB solar panel. The charging light will let you know when the batteries are charging, and when they’re finished. The Guide 10 will turn off when the batteries are full.
Charge your USB devices by plugging into the Guide 10’s USB output port just like you would plug it into any USB port on your computer or wall adaptor. Slide the switch on the face of the Guide 10 from ‘Off’ to ‘On’, and power will flow. The Guide 10 sends power to your device at a rate determined by your device.
Is it safe for my phone or other USB device?
Yes. The power from the Guide 10+ follows USB standards, and your phone or other device will determine how much power to take, and when to stop charging. Exactly the same as charging from any other USB port.
What about charging camera batteries?
The battery charger that came with your camera is meant to plug into a wall, and will not work with the USB output of the Guide 10+. BUT, have no fear, there are products that are designed to charge all types of batteries from USB sources. Check the ‘Accessories’ tab for links to chargers that handle small camera batteries, & larger dSLR & camcorder batteries.
