Review by Scotland Outdoors, added 10/28/13: a great idea
I wouldn't normally drop my camera in a bath of water, but for the benefit of this blog I did so. I opened the robust looking seal of the case, popped in my camera and then resealed it. It is as easy as that. It was then a little nerve-wracking as I pushed the case and camera under the water's surface and held it there. But it didn't leak. When I let go, the case bobbed back to the surface and floated around. Before trying to take a photograph I checked the inside of the camera case to ensure there had been no leaks. There wasn't a single tiny droplet of water inside, thank goodness. Next test was outdoors in the rain. There has been a lot of rain lately – during numerous runs, cycles and walks – so I have had plenty of time to ensure the camera case will keep my camera dry. It worked very well. I didn't have a problem with condensation but if I did I could always pop in a desiccant sachet... It's obviously not as simple as holding the camera itself in your hand but despite being covered by plastic, I was still able to operate the camera buttons. If you have a touch screen camera, it's possible to operate the screen through the plastic with your fingertips. The photographs taken through the lens of the case also come out very clearly. I was surprised by this but it seems that the plastic lens front on the camera case causes no hindrance to great quality pics. For extreme conditions, such as heavy rain, or when you are sea kayaking, on the beach or close to any form of water and want to protect your camera, the Aquapac camera case is a great idea.
