Description
Aquion Aspen 24S AHI Battery Stack. Aquion Energy’s S-Line Battery Stack is a modular building block for clean energy storage systems. If you care to choose the cleanest, safest battery technology for your solar power system, this is it.
What’s So Special About Aquion Aspen 24S Batteries?
The Aquion Aspen battery with the Aqueous Hybrid Ion (AHI) technology is a safe, clean, and affordable saltwater battery that outperforms traditional battery chemistry. They are non-toxic, non-flammable and contain no heavy metals. The unique Aqueous Hybrid Ion (AHI) chemistry is composed of a saltwater electrolyte, manganese oxide cathode, carbon titanium phosphate composite anode, and synthetic cotton separator. The battery utilizes non-corrosive intercalation reactions at the anode and cathode.
Designed for years of hassle free operation in stationary, long-duration applications, AHI batteries are optimized for storing energy for residential, off-grid, and micro-grid applications. Aquion’s Aspen batteries are modular building blocks that can be configured for a wide range of system sizes, from kWhs to MWhs. Aspen batteries are is designed for long-duration daily cycling applications, with typical cycles ranging from 4 – 20 hours.
Aspen batteries enable customers to lower their energy costs and maximize the use of renewables. Applications include self-consumption, backup power, peak shaving, demand response, and off-setting diesel generator use.
Aspen batteries are Cradle to Cradle Certified™, making them the safest batteries in the world and ideal for your home or small business.
Aquion’s Aspen 24S batteries are simple to configure and install and require no maintenance. The batteries are abuse tolerant and can handle wide temperature ranges and being left at partial states of charge without degradation.
Thousands of cycles and deep cycling capability means greater usable energy which results in competitive up-front costs and little or no maintenance costs.
The Only Battery That’s Safe For Your Home
Aquion’s Aqueous Hybrid Ion (AHI™) battery chemistry is inherently safe and is not capable of energetic thermal runaway. The batteries have passed UL 1973 flame propagation testing.
