Description
The Extreme solar kit by Powertraveller is the ideal solar charging solution for anyone who takes their adventures to the next level. It’s the combination of 44Wh ruggedized battery pack and 5W clamshell solar panel that makes it special. Charge all your portable USB & 12V devices wherever you go, and in whatever conditions mother nature throws at you.
The Battery Pack
Underneath the tough, rugged, waterproof casing of the extreme battery unit lies a massive 12,000mAh electron storage tank – providing a hefty amount of power for users when they need it most. This battery pack also features pass-through energy flows, which means that it can charge your device while it is accepting a charge itself.
Unlike most portable chargers, the extreme features multiple output ports…
+ 12V DC output – suitable for charging bigger devices such as SLR cameras and tablets
+ 5V 2A USB output for smaller devices such as smartphones and GPS systems
+ PLUS a bi-directional USB-C socket – meaning you can charge the very latest devices utilizing USB-C charging.
These charging options make the extreme a front-runner in portable power technology and capability and give users the freedom to roam wild.
The Solar Panel
The kit includes a 5 watt solar panel which outputs 5V 1A via USB and opens to 210 degrees – perfect for fitting to a back pack or tent. The solar panel features built-in MPPT technology which gives optimum charging in low light conditions and will not stop charging should a cloud pass over the panels.
Use the solar panel directly with USB devices via its built-in USB output port. Or store the solar energy in the Extreme battery pack for charging after daylight hours.
Housed in a rugged, water resistant casing designed to withstand knocks and spills, the extreme is an essential item in your kit bag.

Note : This is a pass-through system. This means you can plug your devices into the battery pack without disconnecting from the solar panel. Thereby ensuring that your device gets its maximum charging rate regardless of what the sun is doing from moment-to-moment.

For more than fifteen years, we have been designing, developing and manufacturing award-winning portable power and solar solutions that extend the usability of a wide range of electronics.
Powertraveller products are built to last, are capable of being used in extremes of temperature and are resistant to the elements and harsh handling. They have a very high number of recharge cycles negating the need for using disposable batteries and are made using components and materials that can be reused or recycled. There is phenomenal “natural” power in the world. Powertraveller is committed to researching ways to harness this power using emerging and new technologies including advances in materials science. The future of Powertraveller’s R&D program is around truly portable fuel cell technology, kinetic and inductive charging technologies and wind and water power. Where it can be made lighter, faster or more efficient, Powertraveller is working on it. Powertraveller is also an avid supporter of “power for wildlife”. We provide wildlife crime prevention organizations including The David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation, the Uganda Conservation Foundation and The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust with portable chargers enabling game rangers and wardens to keep lines of communication open whilst on anti-poaching patrols. Powertraveller have recently signed up to be part of The Outdoor Industry Association’s Britain on Foot campaign to get people healthier, more active and outdoors. Our devices help people stay outside, and off-grid, for longer with portable charging for all your mobile devices.
