How Do I Use This Solar Panel?
WANT TO USE THE BOULDER 100 IN A STANDARD BATTERYÂ INSTALLATION?
When using the Boulder 100 with other Boulder 100 panels, or simply integrating it into a standard charging system for deep-cycle batteries (RV, tiny home, boats, cabins, etc), you will want to use a different connector that the one that comes with the panel. The 8mm (blue) connector that comes with the panel is designed for connecting the panel to Goal Zero Yeti & Sherpa battery packs. Connectors for changing the 8mm (blue) to an Anderson connector, MC4 connectors (solar industry standard), or Aligator Clips are available. 6′ and 30′ extension cables are also available. Check the Goal Zero Canada page.
You’ll also want to choose a solar charge controller to manage the power coming from the Boulder 100 into your deep cycle batteries. Check all the small controller options here.
Note that Goal Zero Yeti & Sherpa battery packs have the charge controller built-in already.
