When your battery has reached 100% state of charge, the controller prevents overcharging by limiting the current flowing into the batteries from your solar array. The GP-MPPT-40 optimizes solar charging capacity in mobile systems in all sun and tilt conditions while allowing the use of simpler series wiring configurations up to 150V (Voc @ STC).
