EN-EL14 AC & DC charger for Nikon D Series cameras & other Nikon models. This EN-EL14 charger is small & light, and easy to pack along. The AC outlet prongs fold down, the unit is only about 2 x 2 x 3″ in size, and weighs next to nothing.

Using with solar

Simply plug the EN-EL14 charger’s cigarette adaptor into your solar panel, and place the panel in the sun. Note that for solar-direct use, a panel of 5 watts or more is recommended for reasonable charging times.
This charger is NOT compatible with 5V USB solar kits.

If you are using a solar storage battery with your solar panel, connect this EN-EL14 charger to the solar storage battery via the 12V CLA plug, and use the solar storage battery’s 12V setting.
Note that using a solar storage battery will result in faster charging than via solar direct due to the charger being able to operate at full design specification, and not being at the mercy of sunlight from moment to moment.
