The Voltaic OffGrid 6W Solar Backpack is Voltaic’s most versatile bag. The OffGrid 6W Solar Backpack will provide power to your smartphone, tablet, and other USB devices. Premium backpack features include: padded laptop sleeve, dual side pockets, and specially lined sunglasses slot.

Besides charging all your handheld electronics via universal USB port, it has 1,700 cubic inches (that’s 29L) of storage space, a padded laptop sleeve, integrated phone pouch and plenty of other pockets.

Yes, the Voltaic power system is Apple-friendly. This means is supports all iPods, iPhones, and even the iPad*. Being universal means that the system will also handle any other USB device you might have. Plus 9 connectors are included to charge phones, media players, game consoles, connect to battery chargers, and more.

One 6 Watt Solar Panel generating 6 Watts total power in peak sunlight.
The panels is waterproof, UV resistant, lightweight, and built to withstand abuse.

Charge times…

3 hours in the sun will fully charge a typical phone, 1 hour will provide about 4 hours of talk time.

On-Board Solar Storage Battery…

Universal USB Battery stores power for use anytime and is specially designed to charge efficiently from solar. When not in the sun, the battery can be charged using the USB Power Cable or optional AC travel charger or DC car charger making it just as useful on the grid as off.

Compatibility…

Smartphones:
Charges all USB Devices including all Apple, Android and Blackberry smartphones.
Tablets:
Charges all tablets that are powered by USB including Apple iPads and Samsung Tablets. Will not charge tablets that charge at 12 or 16 Volts.
Digital Cameras:
Compatible with cameras that charge from USB like GoPros.
Not compatible with DSLRs directly – charge dSLR batteries via Ansmann PL Vario

A Note About Tablets:
Tablet computers, like the iPad, can be ‘powered’ from the OffGrid’s V15 internal battery, which means you will not be draining the tablet’s battery. However, most tablets will not ‘charge’ from the 1A output of the V15 battery.
For optimum tablet support & charging performance, upgrade the included V15 battery to the V44 battery which offers dual USB ports, and full 2.1A output.
