Description

This is the Soladeck 0799-5G. The roof penetraiton JBox that has been a longtime solution for getting wire from your rooftop solar array into your attic. These latest SolaDeck 0799 enclosures are UL 1741 described and NEMA 3R rated. All SolaDeck models have a flashing that has been certified by the roofing industry. Both SolaDeck components are made of 18-gauge galvanized steel with a professional powder-coated finish (grey or black). For both DC and AC systems.

The enclosure’s overall depth is 3”. Enclosures include a 5-position ground bar and an 8” long 35mm din rail for fuse holders, breakers, or terminal blocks. Both SolaDeck enclosures can be used as a combiner or pass through. Parts from SolaDeck now have ratings of up to 1000 VDC at 180 amps and 480 VAC at 60 amps. Kits for combining strings, circuits, or transitioning PV wire to THHN wire and pass-through are available, and they provide all of the required components.

Using one of the PASS-THRU kits to make pass-through connections within a SolaDeck. These kits contain din rail mount terminal blocks that can be used with wire gauges ranging from 16 to 6 AWG, as well as mounting hardware. Each terminal measures 8mm in width. Glands, endplates, and rail stops are also included in the kits. SolaDeck combiner and pass-through kits are available on the following page. Fuse holder kits may also be used to move through or combine strings.

The base riser has dimples to center a punch or drill for entry conduit or fittings, and the base back has five roof-deck knockouts – (3) 12″, (1) 34″, and (1) 1″.
